1. Provider, scope and agreement
These Terms of Service govern the Crossword Daily Android app, related puzzle/content and purchase-verification services, and this website, provided by TUCKR89 LLC (“TuckR89,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact us at support@tuckr89.com.
By choosing to install or use Crossword Daily after these Terms are made available to you, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Where affirmative acceptance is legally required, these Terms do not replace that acceptance. The Privacy Policy explains data practices; agreeing to these Terms does not constitute consent to personalized advertising.
2. Eligibility and responsible access
The service is not directed to children under 13. You must meet the minimum age and other legal requirements for use in your location. If you are a minor who may lawfully use the service, a parent or legal guardian must authorize and supervise use where required and approve purchases. Do not use someone else’s Google account or payment method without permission.
You are responsible for your device, compatible software, connectivity and applicable network charges. Core progress is stored locally; there is no separate Crossword Daily login account. Optional Google services require their own eligibility and account settings.
3. Your license and our content
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and its content for lawful, noncommercial entertainment, subject to these Terms and any applicable store terms. Crossword Daily branding, software, design and supplied puzzle content are owned by us or our licensors. No ownership in that material is transferred to you.
You may not redistribute or commercially exploit the app or puzzle catalog, remove ownership notices, bypass content or purchase access controls, disrupt services, submit fraudulent transactions or scores, abuse ad systems, scrape content at harmful scale, or access systems without authorization. Restrictions on reverse engineering or interoperability apply only to the extent permitted by law; nothing here removes a statutory right that cannot be restricted.
4. Puzzle play, progress and availability
The app offers crossword play, hints, local progress and available connected features. Categories, archive access, challenges and other features can differ between free and Premium access and across versions. The current app and purchase screen identify what is included. Offline practice and cached content do not guarantee access to new online Daily puzzles without a connection.
Puzzles, clues, answer checking and timing may contain mistakes. Scores, streaks, XP and achievements are entertainment features, have no cash value, and do not create a prize or payment entitlement. Google Play Games score/profile visibility follows Google’s controls.
Local data may be lost if you clear app storage, uninstall, change devices or encounter a device failure. Do not assume a purchase restoration also restores local puzzle history. Operating-system backup behavior may vary. We do not promise uninterrupted access or availability of every puzzle forever. Where we materially change or discontinue paid functionality, we will respect applicable notice, refund and other consumer rights.
5. Premium, prices and automatic renewal
Where offered, monthly and annual Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. The purchase screen and Google Play confirmation show the price, currency, billing period, taxes where applicable, included benefits, and any trial or introductory offer before you commit. We do not promise a trial, fixed price, or discount unless it is expressly offered to you.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the stated billing period unless you cancel through Google Play before renewal. Google charges your authorized payment method under the terms shown at purchase. If an introductory offer applies, the displayed standard price applies after the offer unless canceled as disclosed. Price changes, approvals and notices are handled under applicable law and Google Play’s rules; we do not impose an undisclosed renewal charge through this website.
Premium benefits, including suppression of our AdMob banner ads while the verified entitlement is active, depend on successful store verification. Internet access may be needed to buy, restore or recheck an entitlement. A temporary verification or store problem may delay access; contact us for assistance. We do not ask for your Google password or full payment-card details.
6. Cancellation, restoration and refunds
To cancel, open Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Crossword Daily → Cancel subscription, and complete Google’s confirmation steps. You can also use Google Play’s subscription-management page. Menu wording can vary. Check Google Play for the actual renewal and expiration dates.
Uninstalling the app, clearing data, stopping play or sending a privacy/deletion request does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access generally continues through the paid period, subject to Google Play’s displayed terms and any refund. Use the app’s Restore purchases control with the purchasing Google account to recover an eligible entitlement. Changing a plan should be managed through Google Play when an in-app change option is not available.
Refunds are governed by applicable consumer law and Google Play’s refund process. See Google Play refund information, or contact us with a description of the issue and the order reference where needed. Nothing in these Terms excludes a statutory refund, cancellation, conformity or withdrawal right. Refund or revocation may end access associated with that purchase.
7. Advertising and third-party services
The free experience may contain AdMob banner advertising. Where required, you can manage advertising consent and available opt-outs using the app’s Privacy choices control. Refusing or withdrawing personalization consent does not necessarily eliminate all advertising or all technical data processing. See the Privacy Policy’s advertising section.
Google Play, Play Games, AdMob/UMP, and linked third-party websites operate under their own applicable terms and policies. Third-party advertising is not an endorsement by us. Do not click ads merely to support the app, ask others to generate ad clicks, or use automated impressions/clicks. We do not require you to click an ad to solve a crossword or to exercise applicable privacy rights.
Google is not a party to these Terms. References to Google services do not imply Google sponsors or endorses Crossword Daily.
8. Custom puzzles and messages you provide
You retain rights you hold in custom words, clues and other material you supply. You grant only the permission needed to process and display that material for the function you request and to handle any support material you send. This is not a license for us to sell your private puzzle text or use it to train an AI system.
Only enter or send material you have a right to use. Do not include unlawful content, private information about others, payment credentials, passwords, or sensitive data. Custom puzzle creation is not a public publishing service; ordinary app use does not post your puzzle text to other players.
9. Changes, restrictions and ending use
We may update the app, fix errors, change content, or restrict abusive or unsafe activity when reasonably necessary. Where practicable and required, we provide notice of material changes that affect paid access or legal rights. We will not use a service change to avoid a legal obligation owed to you.
You may stop using the service at any time. Cancel subscriptions separately before deleting the app. Termination or suspension does not remove accrued payment obligations or statutory rights. For a restriction you believe is mistaken, contact support so we can review it. Privacy handling and lawful retention are described separately in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers, responsibility and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, and we do not guarantee error-free clues, uninterrupted online features, or preservation of every locally stored game. These limitations do not exclude any mandatory guarantee, warranty or remedy that applies to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from our breach. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your non-waivable consumer, privacy and payment rights remain intact.
These Terms do not require binding arbitration, waive a right to participate in a class action, or impose a mandatory pre-dispute waiver of legal remedies.
11. Applicable law and resolving concerns
Subject to mandatory laws and rights applicable to you, these Terms are governed by Florida law and applicable United States federal law, without applying conflict-of-law rules that would remove those mandatory protections. If you are a consumer entitled to the protection of another jurisdiction’s mandatory laws or courts, that protection remains available. These Terms do not force you to bring a claim in Florida when the law gives you another forum.
For a concern, you may contact support@tuckr89.com for a practical resolution. Contacting support is not a prerequisite to exercising a legal right or contacting a regulator. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
12. Terms updates and contact
We may revise these Terms when features, business practices or law change. We identify the effective date and give additional notice or obtain renewed agreement where required for a material change. Updated terms apply prospectively; they do not remove rights or accrued claims from an earlier period.
